For 97 years, the Lidgerwood Woman's Club has been hosting the Honor Student Banquet, where the students are honored for high scholastic achievement. The banquet originally honored only girls; however, since the boys were only recognized at the Athletic Banquet, the Woman's Club began to honor them as well. Besides being treated to a meal, the students this year enjoyed listening to the guest speaker Fred Strege, a Lidgerwood High School graduate, and semi-retired lawyer who encouraged the students to above all, be kind, be considerate of others, and to learn from their mistakes. The attendees were entertained by Jerry Nelson, who played his guitar and sang 2 songs.

The criteria for attending the banquet is that the student must have nothing lower than a grade of a 3.3 average and be on the school's honor roll in the first three nine-week grading periods of the school year.
